Faced with the evolving demands of the digital landscape, our client wanted to improve their agility. To speed up and optimize their solution development and QA processes, they wanted to develop a more efficient and flexible approach to creating on-demand environments.

To save time on lengthy project setup, the goal was to establish an automated process for provisioning new environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and microservices deployments. Due to varying requirements of developed products, it was important to allow customization in terms of environment size and microservice versions.

Our team embarked on designing and implementing a comprehensive solution to address the client’s challenge.

Leveraging the power of Helmfile and Terraform, we automated the end-to-end provisioning of on-demand environments. This solution empowers the organization to effortlessly create AKS clusters and deploy microservices, all while providing the flexibility for developers and QA teams to choose the desired environment size and microservice versions.

Additionally, we crafted a sophisticated deployment and testing automation pipeline using JMeter scenarios, to ensure the reliability and performance of the client’s applications. To streamline operations further by unifying standards and processes, we adopted the “Everything as Code” methodology for managing all Azure-related resources.
